What are Pull Tabs and Who Uses Them?

Pull tabs (break opens, tear opens) are small paper games of chance used for profit making or fund raising. Pull tabs are easy to play. The front side of the pulltab shows winning combinations of symbols and prizes a player can win. The back side of the pull tab has windows to open. If the symbols underneath the pulltab windows match the winning combinations on the front of the pull tab, the player wins.

American Legions, VFWs, Bingo Halls, Churches, Schools, Bars, Casinos, and many other Organizations use pull tabs to raise funds or to make more money.

To ensure security, every pull tab deal has a unique serial number. With our pull tabs, you will make up to 38% profit, depending on the game you choose. Your players can win up to hundreds of dollars instantly, so they have a great incentive to buy your pull tab tickets!

When you start a pull tab game, you open the deal and sell the pull tab tickets to players. You charge 25 cents, 50 cents, or a dollar per pull tab (depending on the pull tabs you choose). Every time you pull a tab off, it gives you the opportunity to explain to those around you why you save those little pieces of aluminum.

Why Pull Tabs?

Pull tabs are easy to collect and store and are less messy than collecting the entire can. Not to mention, there is more concentrated aluminum in pull tabs than in the can itself! Our commercial recycling partner weighs the tabs then provides us with a check to help support families.

Getting Started

Designate a clean container for your collection. Re-use and recycle whatever you can find: coffee cans, milk jugs, paper or plastic bags, etc. Decorate it with our container label or get creative and make it your own! You can also stop by our House and pick up a cardboard pull tab house.
Post our Pull Tab Flyer to share information with your family, community, office, or school.
Once you’ve filled up your container, drop off your pull tabs at RMHCK, 550 S. First Street, Louisville, KY 40202, any day of the week from 9 am to 7 pm.
